Staff and residents at an HC-One care home have celebrated two Very Good ratings from the Care Inspectorate in Scotland.

Lomond Court Care Home in Glenrothes achieved the Inspectorate’s second top rating for supporting people’s wellbeing, and planning care and support following an inspection in July.

Home manager Beba Graham said: “Thank you to everyone at Lomond Court for their continuous hard work which has resulted in this amazing result.”

HC-One area director Mike Shea added: “This rating is fantastic news. I would like to extend my congratulations to the Lomond Court team for their commitment and hard work in achieving such an impressive report. It is a testament to the effort they put in day-in, day-out to deliver the kindest care for each and every resident.

“We will continue working towards our aim of being the care provider of choice for those looking for the very best care and support, and the employer of choice for the best, most professional, and kindest care staff.”

The report said: “It was clear that the staff at Lomond Court were warm and caring in their interactions with those in their care. People should experience kindness and compassion in how they are supported and we observed this type of interaction throughout the duration of the inspection.”

The Inspectorate said the level of detail in care plans was “of a very good standard”, adding staff knew resident’s needs very well.

Lomond Court was also praised by residents and relatives with comments including: “I don’t have any complaints, the home is well run,” and “I love it here, the girls are great.”

Lomond Court provides nursing care for up to 40 older people with mental frailty.
