A new 60 bedroom nursing home is set to be built in Livingston by Randolph Hill Nursing Homes Group, with construction set to start on November 25.
The new care home will be built by Muir Construction on the site of the former Livingston Development Corporation.
Randolph Hill will be investing £9m into what will become the group’s seventh nursing home and comes after the redevelopment of its nursing home in Gullane in April following an expansion.
The provider currently cares for more than 350 residents and has over 500 members of staff across its sites.
Managing director of Randolph Hill Nursing Homes Group, Peter McCormick, said: “Our investment in this new Livingston site will help fill a gap in the current care home offering in West Lothian and bring new jobs into the local community.
“It will also enhance a long-derelict site in the town and benefit the wider community. We look forward to working with Muir and getting this project completed by early 2021.”
