Snooker legend Willie Thorne opens first Sanders Senior Living luxury care home

Snooker legend Willie Thorne has officially opened the first Sanders Senior Living luxury care home.

The former snooker ace and TV pundit did the honours to launch Graysford Hall in Leicester, which marks Sanders Senior Living’s entry into the luxury care home market (see Runwood Homes owner launches luxury care home brand).

Home manager Suzie said it was a pleasure to welcome-back the Leicester born Thorne back to the area on a special day for the home.

The launch, which was attended by members of the public and industry professionals and officials linked to the home, also included a performance from Stoneygate School children’s choir, a live band and an appearance from Santa, plus mulled wine and mince pies.

There was also a ceremonial cake cutting, led by Graysford Hall’s very first resident, Myra, who was delighted to take part.

Guests were able to take guided tours of the home, showcasing its large living suites, library, cinema, private dining, and spa and wellbeing areas.

Graysford Hall comprises of 69 private en-suite bedrooms and numerous stylish lounge areas and dining spaces, as well as a cinema, library, treatment room and hairdressers.
