Health and social music provider appoints new CEO

Barbara Osborne has been appointed CEO UK of interactive live music specialist Music in Hospitals & Care (MiHC).
Barbara, whose recent roles include Director of Income Generation and Marketing at Myeloma UK and Head of Community and Volunteer Fundraising at the British Hearth Foundation, takes up her role on August 1 and will be based at MiHC’s Edinburgh office.
MiHC Chairman Peter Fairlie said: “We are delighted that Barbara will be joining MiHC as our CEO UK. Barbara’s wealth of fundraising and marketing experience, make her ideally suited to the post and in supporting the ambitions and aspirations of our charity.

“We all look forward to Barbara leading our teams across MiHC’s UK offices and taking our charity forward in our 70th anniversary year.”
Barbara added: “I am really looking forward to joining MiHC and meeting the teams. It certainly is an exciting time to join this wonderful charity in its 70th year and I look forward to continuing and improving the excellent work of MiHC.”
MiHC was established in 1948 and brings professionally performed live music into hospitals, hospices, day centres, special schools, nursing and residential homes.
