OSJCT appoints care home general manager

Kim Hewitt has been appointed general manager of The Orders of St John Care Trust’s (OSJCT) newly opened, 48-bed Edwardstow Court home in the Stow on the Wold.
Kim brings with her more than 30 years’ experience in the care and support industry, which includes managing Sheltered Housing services and care homes for older people. She has worked in many managerial roles for the past 27 years across various sectors, managing multiple contracts within those sectors.
“I am so excited to have been appointed into this role and trusted with the task of creating the best possible environment for our residents,” Kim said.

“This is their home and our vision is to ensure they lead as fulfilling and independent a life as possible whilst they are with us.”
During her career, Kim has worked in different local authorities and organisations from Buckinghamshire to Herefordshire, spending the last four years in Gloucestershire. She has experience of working with people living with dementia and mental health support services, all with a focus on delivering quality, person centred services that encourage independence. Becoming registered as a manager in 2014 Kim has experience and understanding of the care sector and the individual needs of older people living with dementia and other issues that come with older age.
