[ad_1]
Christine Valentine-Bunce is head of commissioning and operations at Innovative Aged Care, where she was instrumental in opening the group’s first care home Chelsea Court Place, which specialises in premium dementia care.
Christine’s extensive experience in care home management helped her oversee the refurbishment of a maternity hospital into the specialist dementia home. From appointing contractors and working closely with teams to ensure dementia-friendly design and compliance, Christine has helped create an environment and atmosphere that is as much of a joy for the residents to live in as it is for staff to work in. Chelsea Court’s dementia-friendly interior design and state of the art technology delivers an innovative sanctuary designed to support and enhance the quality of life of residents.
Christine hand-picked the expert, award-winning team who work at Chelsea Court Place, all selected for their knowledge, passion and dedication to dementia. The team works together to deliver the very best levels of care and experiences. Most of the original team employed upon the homes opening in October 2016 still work at Chelsea Court Place today.

In February 2018, Chelsea Court Place received its first CQC rating of Good across every level with outstanding comments from both the inspectors, residents and families.
Christine works intrinsically with leading research organisations, such as the University of Roehampton, where she has helped launch an innovative study on how music can be used as a form of communication in later stages of dementia. She also works closely with the University of West London, presenting for the Dementia Masters Programme to promote dementia care specialists and activating important research programmes to help understand more about the disease and shape the way we care for individuals living with dementia.
