Dorset care home sold to local care provider

Reside Care Home in Christchurch, Dorset has been sold to local operator, WCN Care.
The home, which was formerly operated by Hadland Care Group, was purchased in a deal completed through specialist business property adviser Christie & Co and solicitors, Royds Withy King.
Dr Toby Williams, managing director of WCN Care, who will be trading the home under the name of Stour Road Care Home, said: “We are thrilled that the WCN Care family is growing with the addition of Stour Road Care Home. St Anne’s Nursing Home in Southbourne, our first home, is just up the road and we anticipate great synergy. We look forward to building ever stronger relationships with our stakeholders in the local communities of Christchurch and Southbourne.”
The home, which is registered for 20 residents, comprises 20 single en-suite bedrooms set over three floors.
Charles Phillips, Director at Christie & Co’s Winchester office handled the sale, said: “It has been a pleasure acting for Cheryl again in the sale of her second home and we are glad to have ensured a successful process. Having previously sold WCN Care their first care home in Southbourne in 2018, we felt they were a natural new owner for Reside Care Home, due in part to their close locations which will provide many benefits for WCN and their clients. With both of the directors of WCN Care being doctors, we are confident that they will prove very successful owners and offer great care and conditions for the residents and staff.”
Royds Withy King acted on behalf of WCN Care to advise on the legal process of the purchase.
