Newcross Healthcare launches care ‘super hub’ in Scotland

Newcross Healthcare has launched a ‘super hub’ for care excellence in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire.
The hub, which has been formed by the merger of branches in Hamilton and Glasgow, will deliver 24-hour access to nursing and care staff.
It will also become a centre for training excellence where nursing staff and healthcare assistants in the care sector receive specialist clinical training to build and develop or learn new skills.

Courses will include: Epilepsy Awareness, Excellence in Dementia, Learning Disability, Basic Life Support in Paediatric Care and essential skills such as Safeguarding Adults. Those looking for apprenticeships will also find opportunities on offer.
Andrew Easton, Business Centre Manager for the new Newcross West Scotland branch, said: “This is a great move for both our staff and the care providers we serve in the area. By bringing together all the skills and experience from the team of the two branches, we’re best placed to meet the needs of people in the West of Scotland.”
Mhairi Blyth, Regional Manager for Scotland at Newcross Healthcare, added: “The team is looking forward to boosting our services in the area and building lasting relationships with the local community. We will continue to invest in state-of-the-art training facilities in Hamilton, making this a centre for training excellence for staff nationwide.”
