Barchester previews Edinburgh care home

Barchester Healthcare has provided a sneak preview of its Queens Manor Care Home in Queensferry Road, Edinburgh.
Deputy Lord Left Lieutenant of Edinburgh, Edward Green unveiled the brand new show luxury suites at the home, which will provide residential and dementia care for elderly people from January 2019.
Mr Green said: “On behalf of the people of Edinburgh, I’m delighted that Queens Manor will be a new addition to our city. My uncle received expert care and attention during his experience in a Barchester care home, where he lived on for over ten years. I will always be grateful for that time we had with him. Without proper care, I doubt we would have had that privilege.”

The show suites, which were fitted out by Barchester’s team of interior designers, provided the local community with an opportunity to see what the finished 60-bed care home will look like when the build is complete. The show suites feature spacious en-suite bedrooms and a lounge as well as a large assisted bathroom.
Queens Manor will also include a café and private dining room, a cinema and activities room, concierge service, en-suite bedrooms with garden access for ground floor rooms, as well as a life enrichment programme of tailored activities, seasonal menus and an in-house hair salon.
