Daniel Casson has been appointed as Care England’s first Digital Development Executive.
Daniel has been Head of Business Development at Jewish Care since 2007, before which he worked in international development. At Care England he will be working on a range of areas connecting Care England members with the NHS-funded Digital Technology Engagement Project, as well as overseeing the Digital Special Interest Group. He will be engaging members on the use of technology and innovation to enhance the quality of the service they provide.
“The care sector is rapidly developing its use of information & communication technology (ICT) and is increasingly adopting new, innovative ways of working,” Daniel said.
“These are exciting times for digital development in social care, and we want to position Care England firmly at the centre of that development. We will work with you, our members, with Government and the NHS, and with the tech sector to try to achieve a quantum change in how we support people.”
Professor Martin Green OBE, Chief Executive of Care England, said: “To achieve the best quality, we in the care sector must continue to sharpen our appetite for innovation and for new ways to enhance the way we care. In creating this post and welcoming Daniel on board, Care England is positioning itself at the centre of digital development and innovation in the sector.”
