Christie & Co sells Swansea nursing home to local provider

Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has completed the sale of Swn Y Gan nursing home in Penclawdd near Swansea.

The family-owned, purpose-built nursing home, which is registered for 28 residents, has been sold to expanding local operator Capital Care Homes Ltd in its second acquisition through Christie & Co.

Jayesh Mehta, Managing Director of Capital Care Homes, said: “Swn Y Gan is a perfect fit – medium sized, lovely staff and offering an excellent standard of care. We are looking forward to bringing this into our family of homes.”

Oliver McCarthy, Business Agent at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, said: “We are delighted to be a part of Capital Care Homes’ journey and we wish them all the very best at Swn y Gan Nursing Home and hope that Richard and Nicola enjoy their well-earned retirement.

“The market for care homes in South Wales is stronger than it has been for many years and we continue to see an abundance of well-funded buyers seeking opportunities in the region.”

Swn y Gan was sold for an undisclosed price.
