Coverage Care Services deploys Dechoker anti-choking device

Shropshire based operator, Coverage Care Services, has deployed the Dechoker anti-choking device across its 14 care homes.

Coverage Care Services provides care for older people, people with disabilities and those with age-related conditions.

Operations director, Debbie Price, said: “We are seeing the risk of choking increasing as the nature of people’s conditions and frailty has increased.

“We are always looking at how we can embrace technology to improve the quality of care for benefit of all of our staff and residents.”

Coverage Care were able to implement the anti-choking equipment across their portfolio quickly and safely by taking advantage of DeChoker’s Train The Trainer option.

“With an eye to the future, this will allow all new staff joining the company to be trained in how to use the life-saving equipment during induction, with an annual refresher for all staff,” said Matt Oakley, CEO of Dechoker UK.
