Drone experience offers care home residents a view from the clouds

Residents at Windle Court in South Woodham Ferrers in Essex were treated to a rare view from the clouds when local drone pilot, Jason, came to visit.

Using high tech goggles linked to a camera, the residents were able to take in amazing views from 100ft above as Jason flew his drone over the surrounding area.

Spectacular views enjoyed by the residents included local landmarks such as the River Crouch, Meadow Croft Garden Centre, an aerial view of their home, as well as the surrounding landscape.

Activities Coordinator at Windle Court, Nicola Daniels, said: “Everyone was really impressed and cannot wait for another visit and we hope that more of our residents will experience this amazing technology.”

Windle Court is a well-established care home providing 24 hour care for older people, including those living with dementia.

Patrick Cogan (pictured) was one of the lucky residents to enjoy the panoramic experience.
