Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has completed the sale of Peterhouse Care Village in Bexhill on Sea, East Sussex.
The village, which comprises a 39-bed nursing home, 28 sheltered housing apartments, three sheltered housing cottages, a day centre and staff accommodation, was sold on behalf of the National Advertising Benevolent Society (NABS) to Agincare.
John Harrison, Director at Christie & Co handled the sale, said: “We are delighted to have assisted NABS in securing a buyer in Agincare, who have the right values and pedigree to continue investing in the next chapter at Peterhouse Care Village.

“With their considerable expertise in the sector, I am sure they will be successful. The sale is resonant of the strong transactional activity we have seen in the healthcare sector in the south east this year with more care homes required to satisfy demand.”
Raina Summerson, Group CEO of Agincare, added: “As soon as Derek Luckhurst, our Chairman, and I visited Peterhouse, we knew that it would fit well into our growing portfolio of services. We were so pleased to be chosen as preferred bidders and greatly look forward to working with the existing staff team and getting to know tenants, residents and visitors.
“It is exciting to be able bring our full range of Agincare services to Peterhouse and the wider community, and we aim to use our experience to further enhance the existing services, thus ensuring local needs are met by future provision. As with many of our previous transactions, we were pleased to be working with Christies & Co through this process.”
