A milestone has been reached in the construction of Caring Homes’ Benson House luxury care home in Oxfordshire.
The ‘topping out’ ceremony marked the placing of the final roof files at the home, which is due to open in September 2020.
Tracey Fletcher-Ray, Managing Director for Caring Homes, said: “It is very exciting for everyone involved that we have reached this milestone at Benson House. We will now all be working hard to get the home fitted out inside and recruit staff ready to welcome our first residents next year.”
The residential, nursing and dementia home, which will provide care for up to 70 older people, will feature bright and spacious communal areas, including a cinema, hair salon, bistro, restaurant with private dining facilities and several cosy lounges and quiet rooms.
The home is situated opposite the River Thames where there is a luxury café available for enjoying the river views popular with visitors to the village.
Tracey was joined at the ceremony by Alison Curd, Special Projects Manager, and Kevin Coleman, Construction Manager for Caring Homes, along with architect John Bell and Dalton Homes site manager David Tooley and Commercial Director Phil Warren.
