Person Centred Software has become the first electronic care planning provider to partner with pain assessment technology specialist, PainChek®.
Person Centred Software is integrating PainChek® within its electronic care planning system and distributing the technology within the UK.
Philip Daffas, CEO of PainChek Ltd, said: “We are delighted to be working with Person Centred Software. The team and product offering are highly complementary to PainChek.”
PainChek®, which is the world’s first pain assessment technology to have been given regulatory clearance in Australia and Europe, uses AI and facial recognition technology to enable carers to monitor pain in people who are non-verbal, including those living with dementia.
People living with dementia make up around 70% of the residential care home population.
Jonathan Papworth, Co-Founder and Director of Person Centred Software said: “Person Centred Software is the most widely used electronic care planning system in the UK and we see PainChek® as a significant addition to improving the quality of care management. Up to 80% of people in care homes experience chronic pain that often is undisclosed and unidentified. PainChek aligns with Person Centred Software’s values, especially to improve quality of life for everyone involved in social care, and we are, therefore, delighted to distribute PainChek® to our UK client base.
