Question Time style debate to consider care home safety monitoring adoption
[ad_1]
A Question Time styled event will debate the mandatory adoption of safety monitoring in care homes.
Hosted by the Care Campaign for the Vulnerable, the event takes place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Conference Suite in Gerrard’s Cross, Buckinghamshire from 6pm to 9pm on Tuesday, 29 October.
Jayne Connery, director of the Care Campaign for the Vulnerable, said: “The care sector is reported to be in crisis with the delay of the Green Paper regarding social care reform. More families are reporting placing hidden cameras in relatives’ rooms because of legitimate care concerns and telling of ‘unfair’ evictions – not forgetting our dedicated carers – overstretched and in many cases undervalued. Would safety monitoring then, be a start to help bring in a more open and transparent care culture to all who live and work in care homes?”
Care Campaign for the Vulnerable is looking for audience members interested in safety in care. The evening will be recorded for its social media and website forums.
If you would like to attend and/or with a group for an opportunity to ask a question to the panel’s experts, then please email: [email protected] by 12 October.
