Sector gathers to celebrate Leaders in Care

The great and the good of the care home sector came together yesterday to celebrate inspiring best practice and innovation in the sector.

Senior executives and home managers from the UK’s leading care home providers attended the inaugural Care Home Professional Leaders in Care event at The Swan by The Globe on London’s south bank, sponsored by British Ceramic Tile, CoolCare, Fulcrum and Person Centred Software.

As well as providing an excellent networking opportunity, the event offered the opportunity to celebrate those recognised by their colleagues this year for their dedication and passion in offering care excellence.

Attendees were entertained with a distinguished speaker line-up made up of Justin Hutchens, CEO of HC-One, Stephen Dorrell, NHS Confederation and LaingBuisson chair, and Minister for Care, Caroline Dinenage.

Speaking first, Justin Hutchens gave guests an insight into the HC-One philosophy on providing great care.

Former Health Minister Stephen Dorrell then provided his thoughts on finding a pathway to a truly integrated health and social care system.

Keynote speaker Minister for Care Caroline Dinenage provided a fitting close to proceedings by offering insight into the Government’s much awaited Green Paper, which is expected later in the year.

Guests were then treated to a tour of The Globe, providing the icing on the cake to a memorable day.
