Skills for Care is inviting grant applications for the Workforce Development Fund (WDF) 2019-20.

The WDF is funding from the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), disseminated by Skills for Care, to help adult social care employers in England towards the cost of developing their workforce.

With as many as 10,000 registered managers due to retire in the next 15 years, the fund will provide enhanced funding for courses aimed at developing leaders and managers.

Large national organisations can apply for a grant from Skills for Care to support the CPD of their own workforce. They must have more than 1,000 care providing employees and provide adult social care services in two or more Skills for Care defined areas within England.

If you’re the lead organisation for a local or national employer-led partnership within England, you can apply for a grant to support the CPD of workers across adult social care.

Tendering is being undertaken subject to confirmation of funding from DHSC. To apply for a grant you must act now… the deadline for applications is 13:00 on Friday 5 April 2019.
