Sutton Hall and Lodge rated ‘Good’ across all areas after recent inspection

Sutton Hall and Lodge in North Yorkshire, has received a positive Care Quality Commission (CQC) report, which records the home as overall GOOD.

Representatives from CQC undertook an unannounced visit to the home on 21 June 2018, and the report has rated the home good across key areas for being responsive, caring, effective and well-led.

Sutton Hall provides 24-hour nursing care for up to 30 residents, while the separate Sutton Lodge gives round the clock dementia nursing care for up to a further 30 older people.

The report highlighted the progress the home has made since its last inspection, commenting on the improvement of the service, the positive and openness of the care home manager and the positivity and kindness of the staff.

Home manager Susan Green commented: “We have a fantastic team here, and have dedicated the last twelve months to making sure we are providing the best possible service. I feel very supported, staff morale is good and the whole team works hard. Our staff thoroughly enjoy caring for our residents and ensure they develop relationships with them to ensure they can care for them in the best possible way.”
